We did not have a meeting in September, but we did have our mystery outing on 20 September. After an excellent lunch, we visited the church of St Michael in Stone where we had a short service of prayers followed by a talk on the history of the church. We had time to look round the church (and some intrepid members of our party climbed the tower) before our visit was rounded off nicely by tea and biscuits provided by the local MU. Thanks to Connie for organising yet another successful and enjoyable trip.

Once again we have been asked to run the cake stall at the Autumn Market on 16 October. Any offers of cakes and help on the day will be very welcome. It would be great to be able match, or even to beat, last year's magnificent total of £150.

Our next meeting is on 18 October at 2.00 pm at the Town Hall when our speaker will be the Vicar.
