The speaker at our July meeting was Mrs Bette Rich, who gave an interesting talk on the Mothers' Union theme for the year "Relationships not rules".

In August, instead of our monthly meeting we had a service in church at which our Deanery Leader, Rosemary Horton, gave an inspiring and moving talk showing how the work of Mothers' Union really changes life for the better for women around the world. The service was followed by afternoon tea in St John's Room. I hope everyone enjoyed this occasion as much as I did.

We do not have a meeting in September but we do, of course, have our mystery trip on 20th September. We will be leaving Ellesmere at 10.30am and returning to Ellesmere at approximately 5.00pm. The cost for this trip, which includes a 2 course lunch, is £18 (with £1 discount for members). This does not include tea or coffee, which is £1.50 extra. Our next meeting is on 18th October at 2.00pm at the Town Hall when our speaker will be the Vicar.
